I hope you are enjoying reading the many blogs participating in the A to Z Challenge this month. Today I'm going to talk about...
For readers, a house is a place live. For writers, a house is where your book becomes reality. Either way, a house is a wonderful place in my opinion.
For Writers: Publishing House
No matter the path you take to become a published author, it is important to understand the different kinds of publishing houses:
For Readers: A House is a House
I heard a story once about a standardized test question. This was from the multiple choice days of testing – "Please choose the best answer." Four buildings were pictured and the student was expected to fill in the bubble next to the "house." Unfortunately, some students lived in an apartment. To them, the apartment building picture was the best answer for house.
Whether this story of a flawed test question really happened, it brings to light an important fact – a house is different for everybody.
Here are two books that illustrate this idea – a classic and a more recent example.
I write about, with, for, and around kids all day. (Well, maybe I do the dishes too. Sometimes.)
