Traditionally published alphabet books written by debut authors or illustrators are unusual. Instead, ABC books are often created by established authors or illustrators who have already proven their salability. After all, it’s easier to sell a book whose characters are already familiar, stories are already marketable, and illustrations already loved.
So if you are an unpublished/unagented author like me, or unpublished/unrepresented illustrator like some of my friends, and you have an alphabet book waiting to be read by the world… you might want to set it aside until you have an agent or a few books under your belt.
Or you can put them on your blog as installments during a certain A to Z blog Challenge.
