I finally got a nice restful weekend and I’m feeling WIDE AWAKE for the last post of the A to Z Challenge.
Yawn. That’s good.
So, let’s see, what is the plan for Z?
Seriously? Snoring? Couldn’t we have found a zestier onomatopoeia?
How about Zoinks? I like Zoinks!
No can do.
Because… I’m… tired.
How can you be ti-
Wow, I guess she really was tired.
OK, then I’ll do this post without her.
Now, you may have noticed from earlier posts that the volume of an onomatopoeia can be denoted by capital letters. Take my friend here. Right now she’s simply sleeping as denoted by lowercase zzzzs
But add some capital letters, and suddenly her snoring gets louder
(Changing the font size helps, too)
Or you can show the up and down sounds of snoring with both capital and lowercase letters.
So no matter how you sleep, there’s a Z-pattern for you.
And now, be sure to check out some of the greatest bloggers in the world who’ve participated in the A to Z Challenge! (Or at least some really great ones anyway)
And if you’ll excuse me I need to drag my friend back to the V post to wake her up.
Vworp Vworp Vworp…
I write about, with, for, and around kids all day. (Well, maybe I do the dishes too. Sometimes.)
